When flames tore through the Wang Fuk Court estate in Tai Po, Hong Kong, William Li had no warning. A call from his wife was the first sign of danger. For more than two hours, Li and two neighbors were trapped, battling suffocating smoke and falling debris before firefighters pulled them to safety.
