The Mohave County Board of Supervisors will vote Dec. 1 on a zoning amendment that would force future data centers to handle their own massive utility demands rather than rely on public infrastructure.
The proposal would amend five sections of the Mohave County Zoning Ordinance to define data centers and require operators to internalize their water and energy use. The goal is to prevent future strain on county systems by requiring advanced technology and self-contained infrastructure.
