HONOLULU (Island News) – A man has been charged following an armed robbery incident that occurred at a Waikiki restaurant.
36-year-old Wilsand Sardinha was charged with two counts of Robbery in the First Degree, Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree, and Kidnapping. His bail was also set at $750,000.
This comes after Sardinha was reported to have entered the Kayak Café on Ala Moana Blvd on Thursday night at 10:20 p.m. Police said that he brandished a firearm and demanded property from employees.
One of the employees was able to leave and the other was allegedly assaulted and had her property taken.
Sardinha was initially arrested for two counts of Robbery in the First Degree and Terroristic Threatening in the First Degree.
No other information has been released at this time.
