ASHLAND, Pa. — On Sunday, community members in Schuylkill County embraced the holiday at the 4th annual Christmas tree lighting and celebration held along Broad Street in Ashland.

"For the goodness of people, everyone sees it driving by, people call us and stop by and say it's so nice. It renews their hope when they see the Christmas tree of the wonderful season of Christmas and Christ being born," said the organizer of the event, Janine Lucas.

Guests enjoyed tons of festive activities, hot chocolate, carolers, and, of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus.
