INDIANAPOLIS — Police are investigating after a man was shot and critically wounded inside a home on Indy's far east side Monday morning.

Around 2:45 a.m., IMPD officers responded to a report of a person shot in the 2700 block of Pointe Harbour Drive , near 30th Street and North German Church Road.

When officials arrived on scene, they found a man shot and in critical condition inside the home. That victim was taken to a local hospital.

Prior to the shooting, IMPD confirmed there was a previous report of people messing with vehicle doors in the same neighborhood.

Shortly after the shooting, IMPD Capt. Don Weilhammer said the Lawrence Police Department picked up a pursuit nearby at 30th and Post.
