Town of Huntington Councilwoman Theresa Mari and New York State Assemblyman Keith Brown are calling on residents to honor those who served our nation by supporting local Veterans this Giving Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Long Island is home to one of the highest concentrations of Veterans in the nation, and many of these brave men and women are facing serious challenges. The rate of Veteran suicide remains tragically high, and the rising cost of living has made it increasingly difficult for many Veterans to support themselves and their families. In response, Councilwoman Mari and Assemblyman Brown are partnering with American Legion Huntington Post 360 to raise funds for a new Armed Forces Plaza, part of the Harbor Walk Project.
