“Still Life, Simple Pleasures” will open Dec. 5 at Spoonbill Gallery in Greenville.
The exhibition, which features works by Charleston-based painter Drue McGarty, will be at 1292 Pendleton St. through Jan. 3, 2026.
“Still Life, Simple Pleasures” includes paintings featuring poppies and works that reflect diversions of daily life, such as bread-making or tennis, as well as more intimate moments like a bluebird from the artist’s backyard, flowers gathered from her garden, and books that recall her childhood escape into new worlds, said the gallery in a news release.
Spoonbill Gallery will hold a First Friday reception from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5 to celebrate the new collection.
