A funeral for a young woman killed in a car crash is to take place this week.

Chloe Hipson, from Bellshill, died last month after the car she was travelling in collided with a Toyota Land Cruiser in Ireland.

The crash took place on a road near Dundalk and claimed the lives of five people.

More than £31,000 was raised to bring Chloe’s body home to Scotland.

Tributes described her as a "beautiful soul".

The crash also claimed the lives of 23-year-old Alan McCluskey from Drumconrath, Co Meath, and his girlfriend, 23-year-old Chloe McGee from Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan.

The other victims were 21-year-old Shay Duffy, also from Carrickmacross, and 23-year-old Dylan Commins from Ardee, Co Louth.
