The beloved Australian children’s music group The Wiggles released a statement recently after two of its members were featured in a music video of a song that reportedly alludes to drug use.
The video, which, according to the BBC , was posted onto TikTok by musician Keli Holiday, shows Blue Wiggle Anthony Field and his nephew, Dominic Field, who plays the Tree of Wisdom, dancing in the background.
The video, which has since been taken down, is set to Holiday’s song “Ecstasy,” which contains the lyric, “Hey girl, come on dance with me. You and your pocket full of ecstasy.”
The caption to the video said, “The Wiggles get it.”
The video received some backlash from parents, and, as a result, a spokesman for The Wiggles released a statement saying that the band in no way advocates recreat
