CLEVELAND, Ohio - A winter weather system will bring accumulating snow to Cleveland and northern Ohio overnight Monday into Tuesday morning, with 2-5 inches expected across the region. The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for most of northern Ohio.
Snow will develop from west to east across the area starting around midnight, with the heaviest snowfall occurring between midnight and 9 a.m. Tuesday. Snowfall rates could reach a half to three-quarters of an inch per hour during this period, potentially creating hazardous travel conditions for the Tuesday morning commute. A band of heavier snow with 3-6 inches is possible in a corridor from Mount Vernon to Akron to Meadville, while surrounding areas may see 1-3 inches.
The snow will taper off quickly from west
