Law enforcement agencies across Nevada arrested 38 drivers on suspicion of DUI during a multi-department enforcement campaign Saturday conducted in memory of two state troopers killed by a drunk driver two years ago, Nevada State Police said.

The second annual “Sergeant Abbate and Trooper Felix” DUI blitz brought together a dozen law enforcement agencies in a coordinated effort to remove dangerous drivers from the roads.

Nevada Highway Patrol Sergeant Michael Abbate and Trooper Alberto Felix were killed in the line of duty on November 30, 2023, when an impaired driver struck them in Las Vegas.
