JEFFERSON CITY, Mo - The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released preliminary numbers from its 2025 Thanksgiving holiday counting Period.
Between Wednesday at 6 pm and last night at 11:59 pm the patrol responded to 304 crashes resulting in 82 injuries and three deaths. They also made 87 DWI arrests. Those numbers are down from last year when troopers worked 462 crashes resulting in 158 injuries and six deaths. Additionally, there were 106 DWI arrests made in 2024.
There were no boating crashes or drownings during this year's Thanksgiving counting period.
