Greenville Technical College recently rededicated its Caring Corner Food Pantry to the late Laurie Pufpaff.

Pufpaff was a nursing instructor at the college who established the food pantry in 2014. She passed away in 2016. The rededication ceremony in honor of Pufpaff was held Nov. 18.

The Caring Corner Food Pantry, located on the college’s Barton campus in Greenville, provides food items and hygiene products to students in need. According to Greenville Technical College, 39 percent of students report facing food insecurity, and 46 percent are experiencing housing insecurity.

“We are honored to carry out Laurie Pufpaff’s vision and her legacy of caring for students,” said Gina Bridges, director of the STAR Center.
