Telus’ Koodo brand launched a $40/60GB Canada/U.S./Mexico bring-your-own-phone (BYOP) plan on Black Friday , and over the weekend, some customers were able to get a similar deal from Rogers-owned Fido.

Neither Fido nor Bell’s Virgin Plus officially launched a competing offer to Koodo’s Black Friday deal, but Fido reportedly offered a similar plan at some retail locations. Per details shared on the Red Flag Deals forum , some customers in B.C. and Ontario were able to get the offer in stores, as well as at some third-party retailers like Best Buy , Walmart , and The Mobile Shop .
