A teenage girl who was killed in a gang shooting asked her friend to call her mum as she lay dying from a gunshot wound, a court has heard.
Tanesha Melbourne-Blake, 17, was the unintended victim of the fatal drive-by shooting in Northumberland Park, Tottenham, on April 2, 2018, the Old Bailey heard.
Michael Clarke, 36, is on trial for Tanesha’s murder and for possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life.
He was allegedly in the vehicle from which the fatal shot was fired.
Prosecutor Philip McGhee read a statement today from Tanesha’s friend, Jace Stockley, who was with her and other friends on Chalgrove Road when their group was shot at from a passing car.
Ms Stockley’s statement said: ‘I was about four paces behind Tanesha.I heard a car coming down the road, but I didn’t see it.
