UGA launches a scholarship initiative to expand access to higher education

The University of Georgia has created a scholarship initiative to recruit students and support them by reducing the amount of student loan debt.

To attract students regardless of their circumstances or background, the University of Georgia launched a scholarship initiative to increase access to higher education. Within each UGA school, donors will have the chance to support funding in areas such as need-based, merit-based, graduate/professional, and experiential learning scholarships.

Jere Morehead, President of the University of Georgia, believes that this initiative can provide more access to students. “By supporting this transformational scholarship initiative, donors are giving more students access to our unparalleled learning environment,” Morehead said.
