Heavy rain is expected Monday night with threats of ice in the mountains. Chief Meteorologist Chris Justus maps out a second threat of winter weather later this week.

A winter weather advisory is in place for parts of the western North Carolina mountains, particularly affecting the east-facing slopes, with ice expected as rain moves in Monday night into Tuesday morning.
