A 30-year-old man is in the hospital after being run over by a tractor near the town of Paynesville in central Minnesota on Sunday.

According to the Stearns County Sheriff's Office, Jerrod Quade was showing a neighbor how to start a Case International 4230 tractor when he was run over by the 6,100-pound vehicle.

The 30-year-old Paynesville man was inside a pole shed with his neighbor and standing in front of the back right tire when the tractor was started. The tractor was still in gear when the engine was started, causing the tractor to move forward, "pulling Quade to the ground and going over him," according to the sheriff's office.

Quade was taken to Paynesville Hospital and then airlifted to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
