And truth is, it’s not how it works with McDavid.

If McDavid didn’t want to play with Savoie he wouldn’t be there.

But, he is and even though the dynamic WHL forward, who had 232 points in 150 games, only has seven points in 26 games, he’s a smaller version of the dogged Vasily Podkolzin, who flanks Leon Draisaitl on the second line.

In the case of Savoie, he might be a better Kailer Yamamoto.

Yamamoto was quick, Savoie is quicker.
