(LOOTPRESS) – More than 50,000 homeless veterans across the United States have found permanent housing in 2025, marking an increase of over 4,000 compared to the previous year, according to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).

The VA reported that 51,936 homeless veterans were permanently housed this year, up from 47,925 in 2024. The nationwide figures include 322 veterans permanently housed by the Hampton VA Healthcare System.

“This is life-changing and in many cases life-saving work,” said Interim Executive Director Dr. Sharee Taylor in a statement. “We are proud of the progress Hampton VA Healthcare System is making to get veterans off the streets and are redoubling our efforts to continue this momentum moving forward.”
