OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - LaTrisha Hackett has had a passion for art ever since she was young, and now focuses mostly on creating vibrant abstract and scenic pieces.
She’s influenced by emotions, diversity, culture, languages and lifestyle.
After the recent government shutdown and the holidays now upon us, she’s using her art to give back.
Since the beginning of this month, she’s been donating a percentage of her art sales to local food assistance programs to help fight food insecurity.
“I’m everywhere in the city and I see people who are homeless people who are hungry and it’s difficult for me some days and I want to continue to create art and donate a portion,” says Hackett.
