MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - A Memphis woman is charged with murder in connection with the stabbing death of her husband, who was discovered with severe injuries at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Saturday night in Cordova.
Sheila Curtis, 56, was booked the following day on a second-degree murder charge and is now behind bars at the Shelby County Jail on a $500,000 bond.
According to the arrest affidavit, at 9:53 p.m. Saturday, Shelby County sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Macon Road and Houston Levee Road after a Chevrolet Colorado wrecked in a ditch.
Deputies identified the sole occupant and driver of the vehicle to be Derrick Curtis, Sheila’s husband, who was bleeding severely. Deputies noted that they saw a large pool of blood in the driver’s side floorboard, “which did not seem
