With little information surrounding the disappearance of Eli Wood, a 25-year-old Wilfrid Laurier student, a group of concerned residents plan to go searching for answers.

In the six weeks since Wood went missing, multiple groups have been created on Facebook dedicated to sharing information about what happened to the Kitchener student.

Amid social media speculation and theories on what could have transpired in the early hours of Oct. 19, 25-year-old Kitchener resident Meghan Mathieson has organized a ground search for Wood in the area surrounding his home.

Wood has been missing since a fire ripped through his Major Street apartment in Kitchener. Police have determined the fire was a targeted arson and foul play is suspected in Wood’s disappearance. Mathieson has no connection to Wood
