On Sunday, Meet the Press’ Kristen Welker asked Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem about Rahmanullah Lakanwal, the Afghani immigrant who attacked two National Guardsmen in D.C. last Wednesday.
He had worked with U.S. troops in Afghanistan, came to this country after America withdrew its troops, and the Trump administration gave him asylum in April. She asked, “Why did the Trump administration grant the suspect asylum in April? Did you know then that he was moving toward radicalization?”
Noem paused for a brief moment before answering Welker, and then blamed the Biden Administration.
