Northwestern University agreed to a $75 million payment to the U.S. government as part of a deal to end federal investigations and restore access to hundreds of millions of dollars in federal research funding.

The Trump administration had previously cut off $790 million in grants to Northwestern, citing the university’s insufficient response to combating antisemitism on campus.
