Just two days after a fight broke out at Hamilton Southeastern High School during a basketball game that resulted in one juvenile being arrested for having a gun on school grounds, another firearm was found at Fishers High School .

The Fishers Police Department released a statement late afternoon, Dec. 1, that an anonymous tipster shared that a student may have brought a firearm in their car onto Fishers High School’s campus.

Fishers police and school administrators then searched the student’s car and found the weapon. Officers do not believe the student was going to use the weapon to cause harm at school, according to the statement.

The 17-year-old student is being charged with possession of a firearm on school property.
