The early national signing period for high school football recruits begins Wednesday, and things are in rough shape for Penn State . The Nittany Lions hold just six commits in the 2026 class, and that number may dwindle further this week.
Four-star quarterback Troy Huhn and three-star linebacker Mathieu Lamah committed to Virginia Tech and James Franklin on Monday.
Huhn had committed to Penn State in June 2024 but decommitted shortly after Franklin’s firing in mid-October.
Lamaha, meanwhile, never officially decommitted from the Nittany Lions but had taken recent visits to Rutgers, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. He originally pledged to Franklin and the Nittany Lions on May 5.
