FORT MOHAVE, AZ (AZFamily) — A young boy is in custody after allegedly bringing a gun to school and threatening a teacher in Fort Mohave on Monday, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office.

Just before noon, deputies responded to Fort Mohave Elementary School for reports of a student with a gun. Before the deputies arrived, teachers were able to disarm the student and remove him from the classroom.

Once deputies got to campus, they learned an 8-year-old boy brought a loaded handgun with him to school. Authorities say the student threatened one of the teachers while he was holding the gun and then passed it off to another student. It is unclear if the second student made any threats while in possession of the gun.
