MADISON (WKOW) -- The Wisconsin Elections Commission (WEC) has approved a change to the guidance it gave the city of Madison regarding their poll books.
WEC voted unanimously on Monday to sanction the city of Madison printing its poll books the Friday before Election Day and having them be distributed on Sunday.
The commission originally ordered them to be printed the Tuesday before Election Day and distributed on Friday.
The change comes after 193 absentee ballots that went uncounted during the 2024 General Election .
WEC Attorney Angela O'Brien Sharpe says the change will help make poll books more accurate.
