PEORIA, Ill. – Peoria Public Works says primary streets are driveable for the time being, but could change in the overnight hours as temperatures fall.
In its Monday evening update, Public Works says its Snowfighters are targeting primary roads with plowing and treatment throughout the night.
Neighborhood roads have been described as slushy with slick spots.
With temperatures falling overnight, Public Works is warning drivers of the chance of flash freezing and icy patches through the early morning hours.
Public Works says residential streets will be taken care of after two inches of snow has fallen, the snowfall has ended, and primary roads are taken care of.
