ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. — On November 17, a fatal drive-by shooting killed 21-year-old Kyree Walker.

The shooting happened in the 400 block of Mingo Street, in an area not far from local colleges.

An incident report obtained from the Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Department says when the first deputy arrived, Walker was found lying face down in the yard with a gunshot wound. A bystander was putting pressure on the wound. Investigators confirmed Walker had additional gunshot wounds.

The report says Walker’s twin brother said the shots came from a white truck. Another witness said he left shortly before the shooting but heard several gunshots nearby and was called back because Walker had been shot.

Authorities say Walker was transported to MUSC and Prisma hospitals but died from his injuri
