The cast of Home and Away have thrown their support behind star Alea O'Shea after she shared the news of her brain cancer diagnosis.

The Darcy Callahan actor, who appeared on the beloved Australian soap on and off from 2011 to 2017, took to social media to share a health update and reveal she had been diagnosed with brain cancer at just 25.

"This is a video I obviously thought I'd never have to make, but I've recently been diagnosed with brain cancer," she said to the camera. "Saying that like, a hook, is insane. It's been a crazy few weeks."

She said that after experiencing several symptoms, she underwent a biopsy on her birthday, and had been "in a bit of limbo" waiting for the results.
