CENTENNIAL, Colo. (KKTV) - The Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office is seeking more information on a crash on November 26 that killed Colorado State Senator Faith Winter (D-Broomfield).

The sheriff’s office said it responded to two multi-vehicle crashes in the northbound lanes of I-25 near East Dry Creek Road around 6 that night.

The first crash reportedly involved two vehicles, and the second crash involved three.

According to deputies, the crashes occurred in close proximity to one another, initially leading to the belief that all five vehicles were involved in one crash, when in fact, it was actually two separate crashes.

Deputies said Winters died at the scene of the crash from her injuries. Three others injured in the crash were taken to hospitals.
