CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Dozens of Cape Girardeau firefighters are taking their grievances to the city council.

According to the union representing the firefighters, the city’s fire department has been working without a contract for more than 1,200 days.

The union claims the city is not negotiating in good faith, and accuses the city of undermining public safety.
