AIKEN S.C. (WRDW/WAGT) — Local business owners are reporting record-breaking sales numbers after months of uncertainty, with some shops experiencing their best Black Friday in more than a decade.
Several downtown Aiken businesses said they saw more customers than ever before, crediting increased foot traffic and events like Steeplechase for bringing visitors to the area.
“Black Friday was the largest sales that we have ever had in 15 years. It was a number we had never seen before, and Small Business Saturday was definitely in our top 10 days, but Friday was a blowout,” said Sallye Rich, owner and partner of 3 Monkeys.
