The first snowstorm of the season is always a big event. Most of the snow is expected to fall in the northern parts of central Massachusetts.

“Granted Mother Nature hasn’t lately given us much in December so I’m kind of hoping - first time in a long time - for a White Christmas,” said Liz Cox at Rocky’s Ace Hardware.

Fitchburg’s DPW yard was buzzing with crews gearing up for the storm while getting all the equipment back in order.
