GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - HCA Florida North Florida Hospital is asking people to decorate small holiday trees to benefit local charities.
The two-inch trees will support the Ronald McDonald House, Fisher House for Veterans, and patients receiving cancer treatment at the hospital.
The contest features six categories for entries: “It’s a Wonderful Life” for traditional decorations, “Operation Christmas” for a military theme, “Santa’s Workshop,” “Christmas Vacation” for unique decorations, “Festival of Lights” for Hanukkah-based trees, and “Seven Principles of Kwanzaa.”
Trees must be submitted by Friday.
