CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - The iconic Christmas Story House got some much-needed restoration work, which included a new roof, according to Gunner Roofing, which headed the project.

The new roof will be historically accurate, matching the house’s appearance in the film.

The home’s museum, located across the street, also got a new roof as part of the project.

“It was an honor to be entrusted with the restoration of such a significant piece of cinematic and cultural history,” said Eddie Prchal, CEO of Gunner Roofing. Prchal said he even wore a pink bunny suit to install Christmas lights in honor of Ralphie.

The newly restored ‘A Christmas Story’ House is now open to visitors. For more
