St. Albans man may spend up to 50 years in prison after killing one family member and injuring another in a shooting more than two years ago during what was supposed to be a Memorial Day celebration, according to the office of District Attorney Melinda Katz.
Durran Morgan, 40, of Pineville Lane, was convicted Nov. 25 of murder in the second degree, assault in the first degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, said prosecutors.
The jury deliberated for less than two hours before delivering the verdict at the trial, which began on Nov. 20.
