Costs for repairs to Mount Dora's numerous damaged stormwater infrastructure sites following October's storms will rise well above $2 million, according to new city estimates.

Mayor James Homich said he hopes to secure an 80-20 split with the federal government to make the necessary repairs to sites like Donnelly Street and the washout behind the city's public works facility.

On Tuesday, the Mount Dora City Council will hear a presentation on the anticipated costs of reconstruction and the scope of repairs.

The estimates that will be presented are as follows:

Public Works Retention Pond (estimate): $1,100,000

George Court at The Highlands Retention Pond Breach Repair (estimate): $300,000

Chautauqua Stormwater and Canal (estimate): $750,000
