A Pennsylvania Tesla driver was arrested at a shopping center after police say he pointed a firearm at another motorist on Route 287 in New Jersey.
New Jersey State Police troopers received a report around 1:10 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28, that a man later identified as 44-year-old Christopher Paul, of Canadensis, pointed a firearm at another motorist in the northbound lanes of Route 287 at Exit 55 in Wanaque, Sgt. Charles Marchan said.
Troopers later found the vehicle at a shopping center on Route 17, where a motor vehicle stop was conducted, Marchan said. Preliminary reports indicate the stop was conducted in the ALDI parking lot in Ramsey.
Paul was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a firearm, aggravated assault with a firearm, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and child endangerment. He was lodged in the Bergen County Jail pending a detention hearing.
