CINCINNATI —
Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine provided an update on a new initiative to reduce violent crime in Ohio by collaborating with the Dayton Police Department, Ohio State Highway Patrol, and federal partners to target high-crime areas.

According to the Department of Public Safety, approximately half of all arrests for weapons violations involved adults who had been previously arrested five times or more.
