BENTONVILLE, Ark. — The Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville hosted Former President Barack Obama on Dec. 1 as part of a new lecture series.
Crystal Bridges has hosted many notable names since its opening in 2011, including Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Goldie Hawn, Jane Fonda, and Yo-Yo Ma.
Obama spoke as part of the new "Building Bridges" series, which aims to "celebrate the American spirit of meeting in the middle with curiosity, courage, and care."
Crystal Bridges Museum Board Chair Olivia Walton began her conversation with Obama by thanking him for his attendance.
He was welcomed with applause from those in the audience and began by referring to himself as "Michelle's husband."
