LEXINGTON, Ky. — Who will be the next head football coach at the University of Kentucky?
Fans are wondering after Mark Stoops was fired Monday after 13 seasons. The current betting favorites include up-and-coming assistant coaches and a few current Division I head coaches.
The No. 1 favorite according to BetOnline.AG as of Monday afternoon is current Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein at +200. Stein played quarterback at Louisville from 2008-2012 and spent two seasons there as graduate assistant and quality control coach.
Ohio State offensive coordinator and wide receivers coach Brian Hartline is the second favorite at +300. He played at OSU and spent seven years in the NFL. Hartline has been with the Buckeyes in various roles since 2017, and is regarded as an ace recruiter.
