MOSES LAKE, Wash. -- The Moses Lake School District announced that there will be no school on Tuesday due to an ongoing teachers strike.
The district said its bargaining team has been working with the Moses Lake Education Association to come up with a proposal to end the strike. As of 4 p.m. on Monday, no agreement has been made.
During the strike, all MLSD school buildings will be closed to the public. The district office will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
The district said it will continue to offer free breakfast and lunch for all students each school day during the strike. Meals can be picked up daily from 11 a.m. to noon at any elementary school location.
