LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - The Salvation Army of Lufkin has shared a few needs before the end of their annual Angel Tree gift distribution takes place.
With only 11 days remaining to return Angel Tree gifts, The Salvation Army of Lufkin is calling on the community to help fulfill the Christmas wishes of children in need. As of Monday, they say that 150 angels still need to be adopted—each representing a child whose holiday could be transformed by a simple act of generosity.
“We still have angel tags hanging on our trees and are praying that each one will be taken before the final adoption day on December 12,” said Captain Jenifer Phillips, of The Salvation Army in Lufkin. “We often see a last-minute rush, and our staff and volunteers are ready to assist anyone who wants to Give with Joy by a
