SCHENECTADY — The planned Schenectady Community Action Program [SCAP] campus at the corner of State Street and Brandywine Avenue is set to receive $9.5 million in state funding to provide housing for individuals and families who have experienced homelessness.
The funding for the Schenectady project is part of a broader state initiative to provide $125 million in funding to 13 projects statewide that will create 645 units and nearly 1,000 beds of transitional and emergency housing.
