MARION COUNTY, Miss. (WDAM) - Two teens were denied bond after being charged in a gas station shooting Wednesday that left one dead.
Marion County Chief Deputy Jamie Singley told WDAM 7 that the shooting happened at around 1 p.m. at Reagans Corner Convenience Store in Kokomo.
Singley said Coreyon Brister, 17, and Zamarkus Brister, 22, were inside the store when they made contact with Verkese Conerly, 19.
At some point, a physical altercation occurred between the three and later turned into gunshots.
Singley said Conerly and Zamarkus Brister were both hit during the exchange.
Brister later died.
Conerly was charged with murder and three counts of aggravated assault.
Coreyon Brister was charged with manslaughter and two counts of aggravated assault.
