Jason Eck, the head football coach of the Lobos, has signed a five-year extension with the University of New Mexico, securing his position after fans expressed their desire for him to remain following a historic season.
Eck expressed his satisfaction with his current situation, saying, "My family and I, we really like it here. We're winning. I think we can be very good again next year. You know, like the people I'm working with, moving is a pain."
Eck's annual salary is set at $1.75 million.
