BATON ROUGE — Lane Kiffin has been very open about his relationship and how much he respects former LSU football and Alabama coach Nick Saban .

The two worked together at Alabama and have been close since. Kiffin on more than one occasion has said Saban was one of his mentors and that he valued his opinion.
